Cấu hình để update Ubuntu cực nhanh

Phòng thí nghiệm mã nguồn mở OpenLAB đã mở một repository ở Việt Nam. Chúng ta có thể Update Ubuntu 7.04 hay 7.10 với tốc độ Full đường truyền (mình lướt web lúc update không nổi luôn). Repository này có vẻ được cập nhật liên tục với Server chính mình đã thử so sánh các update và OpenLAB có đầy đủ các update mới nhất.

Domain của OpenLAB đã chạy lại rồi.

Cách thứ nhất sử dụng Synaptic:

Bạn vào menu System->Administration->Synaptic Package Manager.

Sau đó vào Settings->Repositories.

Ở Tab Ubuntu Software bạn có thể uncheck hết các lựa chọn đó bởi vì trong Repository của OpenLab đã bao gồm tất cả chúng.

Ở Tab Third-Party Software bạn lần bấm vào nút add và điền vào từng dòng sau

(với feisty thì đổi gutsy thành feisty)

Sau khi bấm Close bạn nhấn vào nút Reload để cập nhật thông tin về các gói.

Cách thứ hai thực hiện bằng các thay đổi bằng tay:

Các bạn có thể thay đổi file sources.list bằng tay. Chú ý lưu 1 bản dự phòng để đề phòng sai sót. Vào terminal gõ :

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

Sau đó thêm vào cuối file các dòng

Bạn có thể Disable các repository ở nước ngoài bằng cách thêm dấu # vào đầu cách dòng ví dụ
#deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ gutsy main universe restricted multiverse

Với các bạn sử dụng Ubuntu 7.04 thì đổi gutsy thành feisty.

Sau đó các bạn save file đó lại.

Sau khi save gõ lệnh

Ngoài ra còn 1 repository của công ty iNET Solution nữa

sudo apt-get update

để reload lại source list.
